Time for a long story! So after RPing with these two people (see below), a long time passed and 
did the following picture: fav.me/datewhx. This led to 
funnily commenting that she shipped it, only to lead to a quick comment discussion between me and dr-insean about what Miri would do if she was shipped and that she does know two others who are asexual like her. Do they have club? Do they meet up? Well I decided to draw something along those lines...
As all of them enjoy reading, I went with having them all sat round a table discussing a random book (select any novel you fancy). I drew it and...wasn't happy with Miri. At all. I tried to redraw her, failed and thus left this on the back burner, hoping to come back later to sort out Miri. Then the Deoxys event happened, Miri got damaged and I returned to this. I still couldn't get Miri right, and when I printed off some references for colour it wasn't as good as expected, so I had to wing it with colour and just accept Miri wasn't going to turn out how I wanted her. Sorry if the characters aren't quite accurate!
At last I can finally present this. Miri holding a reading meet up with Peri and Jackie. I've drawn both before for the bug fashion contest and returning to their characters again was a blast! I'm not sure if either are still part of the group (given that the group is currently having an activity check) but I hope you enjoy this all the same. Given Miri's current hard times, this has at least put a smile on her face as they drink juice (I presume pinap or something!).

Oh, look, my stupid comments actually inspired something nice! Kinda funny how weirdly-complicated inspiration for ideas can be, isn't it? Glad I could help, even in a very indirect fashion.
I have trouble drawing Asuka interacting with things like chairs and objects she has to share with tall people, so I think I can relate to what kind of trouble you were having with Miri in this picture. In any event, the concept is interesting and Peri and Jackie turned out wonderfully, so I don't think the trouble you had with Miri hurts this picture. Glad life seems to be treating Miri well after her run-in with Deoxys.
I hope Apapa and DarkDreaming enjoy this picture and that this trio can hang out some more in the future...I also they enjoy reading the myriad of inappropriate books I imagine for them to read here.
