Personality: Miri is filled with optimism and positivity: everything will turn out all right in the end. This doesn’t mean that there are times when she is sad, but for the most part she views the world in a happy light. She really enjoys going outside and admiring nature. However, her real passion is books. She loves reading and does so every day, becoming completely absorbed into some tales that if someone tries to talk to her while reading, she won’t talk back for a while. Fantasy tales are Miri’s favourite, but she also reads a variety, such as romance, classics and mystery. Miri won’t read horror however, it scares her too much! Despite her vast collection of reading material, she hasn’t experienced some aspects of the world and isn’t as worldly as some of her peers. This means she isn’t as street savvy or confident as others. She walks quite happily, but get her flying and...Well, Miri will crash into something eventually! Flying has never been her forte, even though she enjoys it.

When talking to others, Miri will be hesitant at first but eventually warms up. Because she is quite quiet around new people, Miri will often follow their lead and directions, even if she thinks differently. When she becomes more familiar with others, then she may start expressing her honest opinion. Having said that, get her talking about books and she will talk passionately and at length about them! Miri has most trouble talking to big, intimidating and/or birds as they scare her. Her reaction to angry confrontations is never shouting. Instead she will remain silent and, if possible, back out of the situation as sneakily and quickly as possible. She might hesitate to help someone, but that's only because she's not sure what to do. When she does, Miri will happily help and try to be positive about the situation. Try.

Moveset: Bug Buzz-An egg move from her father. Miri emits a screeching sound that damages others. Only uses this if in trouble e.g. being attacked.

Hidden Power- Miri’s hidden power is fire. She uses this to warm herself up and for cooking. Not for an fighting use!

Safeguard-Miri creates a mystical, protective shield that prevents status-inflicting moves from taking effect. Also used in times of trouble, but also instinctively when the biggest of Pokémon try to talk to her.

Comet Punch-Miri fires a series of punches into her foe. Miri uses this move as a way to organise her books quickly rather than as an attack mostly.

History: Born to parents Pacha Quispe and Felicity Meers, Miri has a completely mixed heritage. Her father hailed from an unknown southern region while her mother from Violet City. Both parents thus felt out of place when they moved into Cheerygrove City, but it had to happen after her older brother Gaius finally left home for university and with it, her father could finally be promoted even if it meant relocation. They hoped that Miri would find some way to be a part of this new place quicker than themselves given her youth. Unfortunately, she had received her mother’s quiet and gentle nature and her father’s dislike, verging on fear, of birds. Miri was overwhelmed when she got to school by such a mix of Pokémon, most of whom had bolder personalities than she and already knew each other. She was very much an unknown at school and made very few friends, none of them close. Then Miri found her saving grace: the school library.

A wrong turn led her into a world of books where curiosity saw her pick one at random and read it. She loved the tale and wanted more. Since then, every moment when she wasn’t in lessons, doing homework, basic life necessities or helping and talking to her parents was spent reading. While this helped her with her studies, her parents couldn’t help but worry as they saw their daughter become more alienated. This only increased in the older years at school, when Miri saw her peers become interested in love and having boyfriends and girlfriends, when she found she had no such desires.

Eventually, her parents explained their fears and worries to their daughter, that she was becoming a social outcast when they themselves had finally settled into the city. They were surprised when their daughter said she already knew this and had a plan. The final exams were coming up and after that she wanted to move out and make a bookshop, to share her love of reading and also meet some new Pokémon and people who would hopefully be in the same situation as she: new. Maybe then Miri could make friends. After consideration, her parents agreed to the plan and also would support her financially until she got her store up and running properly. They even found a recently built town for her to move into. So, after some fond farewells, Miri got onto the train for a new life...

EDIT2: Miri has settled into Springfield life, has made friends, owns a bookshop and has a troublesome Trubbish pet called Minstrel. She evolved when she reached 21 while being 'knighted'. (See here: fav.me/dbhcb78).

Miri has a sweet tooth. Chocolate is her all time favourite.

Her hobby is, of course, reading. However, she also likes exercising, flying and enjoying nature.

She doesn’t mind sun or rain, but she has never experienced snow. True winter is an alien concept from stories in her opinion.

She has also never seen a net before! In fact, while technically she got high grades in her studies, they were more about how to pass the exams. So, now that she's done them, most of the things she has learnt has kind of been forgotten in the land of books. So, about practical objects and events, Miri mostly has no clue!

Miri’s poncho is a gift from her grandmother on her father’s side. She wears it with pride, even if it isn’t stylish.

Miri’s older brother is called Gaius, but he is A LOT older (in his 30s). They have a pleasant relationship, but don’t have a deep connection.

Her catchphrase, ‘bizzie’, is an adaptation from when she was younger and tried to pronounce ‘busy’ for the first time. It has stuck ever since.

Her father is a Yanmega. He speaks of his home as one of ‘great temples, jungles and terrifying birds’. He is now an archaeologist at the Ruins of Alph. Her mother is, of course, a Ledian and works as a gardener. Miri thus has some knowledge in these fields, but not as great as her own hobbies.

Miri can’t wait to evolve, but she hasn’t reached the required level yet. As bugs go, she is a late bloomer! EDIT2: Miri has since evolved, and is still a terrible flier.

EDIT: So, Miri got in. I...really can't believe. I am very happy!  I look forward to the group events and what not and wish those who didn't get in the best of luck next time around.  

As to RPs, I am new to this so I will probably want to start with just one character for now. I am happy to RP via notes or comments, and maybe eventually RP chat. I won't RP via Skype, twitter etc. because I don't have accounts for those . This for PKMNSkies people only, I am not going to RP on anything else right now.
